Can one cover the polyurethane with foundation sealant?

In general, the solvents contained in coverings, coatings or other materials attack the insulating plastic foam. It is possible to use materials and products that contain solvents if we allow the solvents to evaporate before installing the polyurethane foam.

Alternatively, it is possible to complete a first rudimentary verification of the compatibility between the polyurethane foam and a coating (such as for waterproofing foundations) by applying a coating layer to a sample of insulating foam, then observing if a reaction takes place between the two materials.
